    Choose appropriate entity type

Economic entities in VicDir have been divided as three types: Independent, Part Of A Group, Public Admin.

  • Independent: most small business fall in this type, include SOHOs (Small Office Home Office), entities of this type have no parent-child relationships with other entities.

  • Part of A GroupMost big and meddium entities fall in this type, include their headquarters, departments, branchs, factories, etc. Each part of the group could be shown up as an entity and parent-children relationships links them all.

    * Soon after, VicDir will support an auto-draw treeview map of the construction of the group to visitors.

  • Public AdminAnother word, government departments, all entities list under code 92 of NAICS-2002 fall in this type.

Inheritable attributions of entities inside a group

For entites inside a group, VicDir supports the children who inherit the attributions from the parent entity automaticly. Recently, these attributions include Logo picture and Entity Brief.

If there is a both-confirmed primary (base) parent-child relationship exists between the parent entity and the child entity and the child has enabled the option 'Inherit Logo From Parent', then the child will inherit the logo and the brief the parent automaticly. If parent changes the attributions, the child follows automaticaly.

    * You can not circularly build parent-child relationships. For instant, if A comapny is the parent of the B company, then B company and all its children or grand-children (and so on) can not be specified as the parent of A company.

    * This parent-child relationship is for usgae inside VicDir system only, regardlss the physical connections inside the group.
