Q: Does VicDir accept individual advertisments?
A: Not yet. VicDir may consider accepting plain text ads (shown up at right side) later, and VicDir will not accept ads of any other form.
Q: VicDir services cost how much?
A: VicDir is a free sevice for visitors and free for companies or other bodies to release company details.
If you are thinking about release employment or product/service details via VicDir's professional function which is not available by now, it may cost a little, please refer to How much does it cost to list with VicDir?
Q: Does VicDir involve into any service like agency or consultant?
A: No. VicDir focus on this system itself, will not involve into any further service such as agency or consultant. If you do need any advise or service in these aspect, you can find individual bodies which dealing these business from our company list.
Q: Does VicDir provide web design service?
A: No. But you can find individual bodies which dealing these business from our company list.

Q: What's search request? Does it differ than search keyword?
A: Search request is your real meaning when you are searching, search keyword is just one form that you express your willing, so they are different.
For example, you want buy a CD player, try to find out where you can get one: who's selling that, the price, the model, the location of the store, and you even want to do some compare stuff etc. With traditional search engines you don't even have a chance to show your real meaning - they accept keywords only so the only way you can do is to try a lot of keywords, hoping that will give you what you want - as you already knew - you got ton of rubbish - no matter what keyword you tried. It is the first time you got chance to show your real meaning - with VicDir, and VicDir is trying to understand your request before give you a reply - just like you ask a human for something. This way even the keywords are not matched, you still get exactly what you want.

Q: How much does it cost to list with VicDir?
A: It is free to list your company detail with VicDir if your company is located physically in New Zealand.
VicDir will provide Geography Map support later to mark your company onto it. If you need this extra function, it will cost you a little. However we dont know the accurate number yet, you can make your decision after everything goes clear.
To list employment and products/services information will expected to cost as following (unit as NZ$, GST exclude):

REMARKS:
* If you put your employment or products/services details inside your company detail, it will be treated as part of the company detail and therefore it will keeps free. However the employment or products/services infomation can not be listed individually when user looking for this kind of information.
* The above fees plan will not apply at least before the end of year 2004.
